The stars of one of Ottawa’s biggest concerts every year at the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium is Jeremy McComb. He’s coming back in November, but this time for a very special cause, a benefit show for one of his biggest fans. Mille Watts is an 8th grader at Ottawa Middle School. She was born with a rare genetic condition, Williams Syndrome, and recently diagnosed with an even rarer condition…Mid Aortic Syndrome, in which part of the aorta, the heart’s largest blood vessel, that runs through the chest and abdomen becomes narrow. This can lead to lower blood flow in the chest, abdomen and lower limbs. Only about 200 cases are known worldwide. Jeremy McComb on Mille:

Millie is preparing for an extensive surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital. She and her mom will need to stay in boston for 7–9 weeks, and while doctors have mapped out a bright path for her health, travel and living expenses won’t be covered by insurance. McComb and his band will give a benefit concert with all proceeds going toward her expenses. If you know Mille, you know how much she loves music. The show will be held November 15th at OMA, and McComb has promised a welcome home concert when she gets home. Tickets are on sale now.
