The Franklin County Health Department knows that not everyone is going to be able to pay for their services. Even people with insurance sometimes have co-pays that they can’t take care of. Director Brenda Pfizenmaier asked the County Commissioners to approve for their bad debt and insurance adjustment in the department’s budget:
Commissioners agreed to approve the adjustments. Pfitzenmaier says the majority of the charges were in family planning with young low income families.
