Your local Walmart store has everything you need for almost any situation, and yes, that includes camping supplies. The Lawrence police and fire department were called to the Walmart store the other day on a report that a woman had set up a full blown campsite in the store and was cooking a meal over an open flame, a campfire, if you will. Right there in aisle 8 of the sporting goods department. Now, to give her a break, the store had set up a full size, functioning camp site to give it a real feel for shoppers looking for fall camping supplies.
Authorities say they are not sure of the woman’s mental status, and did not give any further details of the incident, except that she was cited for having an open flame in a public building.
