Remember that chip and seal project the city of Ottawa was going to start last week. Well, hold on just a minute….or two. City officials say that there has been a delay with the project due to ordered materials not being delivered and available to the contractor as anticipated. The project was supposed to begin August 18th, but….the new start date is tomorrow, September 4th and, weather permitting, should be done by Friday. The streets that are being chip sealed are Lincoln from 7th to 15th, North Mulberry, from Dundee to North Street. North Street, from Mulberry to Davis and Forest Street from Avon to Brockport, as well as Addison Street from North Locust to Cleveland.
Expect short road closures during the chip seal process, but, it should only be about 30 minutes after completion before you can drive on it.
