December 5, 2025

Twenty-four years ago tomorrow, September 11, our nation was attacked, and it changed the way we do things in this nation, forever. Nearly three thousand innocent lives were taken that day, including 342 Firefighter, 60 Law Enforcement officers and 8 EMS personnel. Tomorrow is a day honored in the United States to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and those innocent lives take by a foreign enemy.
The Ottawa Fire Department, Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and Franklin County EMS will hold a ceremony to honor all those people and reflect on the continued bravery and selflessness in those serving today. Everyone is encouraged to attend the ceremony tomorrow morning at 8am at the Fire Station on West Second Street. It’s Patriot’s Day, a National Day of Remembrance. Be there to honor the continued bravery and selflessness in those serving today.
