Steven Robert Saile, 65, a lifelong resident of Baldwin City, Kansas died Wednesday, September 10, 2025 in his home.
He was born December 24, 1959 in Lawrence, Kansas the son of Bobby “Bob” J. Saile and Donna (Cline) Saile. He graduated from Baldwin High School with the class of 1978.
Steven was united in marriage to Debbie Yarnell. Though they later divorced, Debbie was his longtime companion and friend.
Steven worked as a diesel mechanic for McConnell Machinery and Kan Equip, and was very well known. He was also a farmer through and through, and enjoyed tractors and mowing the lawn.
Steven loved to hunt and fish and was a big fan of country music. He also put a lot of work and love into building his truck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby “Bob” and Donna Saile, and a nephew, Bobby Saile.
He is survived by two sons, Matt Saile of St. Joseph, MO and Jake Saile and his wife, Nomu, of Olathe, KS; and a brother, Jeff Saile and his wife, Brenda, of Baldwin City, KS.
