Early yesterday morning, September 20th, emergency responders were dispatched to the Main Street Railroad crossing in Wellsville from reports of a train and pedestrian collision Upon arrival, a severely injured adult man was located in the roadway by Wellsville Police officers.
Wellsville Fire District and Franklin County EMS arrived shortly after and provided emergency medical care. The Franklin County Crash Team also responded to the scene to conduct the official investigation. The patient was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The Wellsville Police Department and Fire District and the Franklin County EMS and Crash Team give their thought and prayers to the patient and family through this extremely difficult time.
