We now know the name of the man who was hit by a train in Wellsville early yesterday morning, September 22nd. Just after midnight, a call came in that said a train had struck a pedestrian at the Main Street Crossing in Wellsville. The first Wellsville Police Officer on scene found a man severely injured in the roadway. He applied first aid until Franklin County EMS arrived to perform more intense medical treatment.
Forty-one year-old Andrew Jamison, of Wellsville, was transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital with critical injuries. The Franklin County Crash Team responded to the scene to conduct an official investigation. That information has not been released, and Jamison’s condition has not been released.
