GARNETT — New Garnett recreation director Brad Yeubanks is trying to bridge the age gap at the Garnett Rcreation Center. Yeubanks is looking for new programs for the recreation center that appeals to adults. The city has a series of successful youth sports programs, and he’s looking for a balance, especially as cooler months approach. He told the Anderson County Review that adult exercise classes have been popular and more will be added. Yeubanks is working with bridge enthusiast David Leitch to establish an active bridge group at the rec center. He said he doesn’t plan to duplicate the Duplicate Bridge Club and he said having two bridge groups will be good for Garnett.
