Last month, AdventHealth Ottawa reopened the Family Birth Center and the return of labor and delivery services after a two year hiatus. They didn’t have to wait very long for the first baby to be born. They have announced that parents Brittney Jackson and Kodiak Brannon welcome their baby girl weighing in at 7 pounds 2 ounces and 19 inches long on October first. The newborn was delivered by Dr. Bridget Abney ObGyn.
Expecting families in Ottawa, Kansas and surrounding communities can now welcome their babies at the Family Birth Place under the watchful care of Dr. Abney, MD, Ob/Gyn; Dr. of Obstetrics, Raven Weiss;, and family medicine Dr., Haley Lowell, along with a dedicated Family Birth Place staff.
In 2026, Dr. Chase Brown will join the team, completing the labor and delivery program at AdventHealth Ottawa. Congratulations to the parents and welcome to the world baby.
