The recent sightings of bobcats and a venomous copperhead snakes in the city limits of Louisburg have prompted city officials to ask residents to be vigilant but not alarmed. It’s pretty uncommon for copperheads to be in a populated area, but everyone should be careful and aware when out and about in parks and other areas where trees and thicker foliage can be near the trails and equipment.
