At the Candidate Forum held last week in Ottawa, one of the candidates for Ottawa City Commission, Brian Kane made a statement about a tax break provided by the Neighborhood Revitalization Program be lost if the original owner sells the house, and the new owner should be required to start paying taxes on the property. Another candidate, Gary Harris, says he disagrees:
All of the candidates agreed that the Neighborhood Revitalization Program is a great program, particularly for the first time home buyer, or someone wanting to do major renovation to their home.
