The Ottawa City Commission will meet this afternoon and one of the items on the agenda will be a discussion about the broken kiosk outside of City Hall, that once could be used to pay your bill. It’s been broken for quite some time. Commissioners will be presented an update on the removal of the unit and a list of possible kiosk alternatives. Also on the agenda is consideration of a recruitment firm to assist in the process of choosing the next City Manager, as Brian Silcott has announced he is stepping down at the end of the year.
That will be followed by a monthly finance report from City Treasurer, Rebekah McCurdy; a report from Franklin County Development Council Director, Paul Bean; Library Director Terry Chartier,; and Ottawa Main Street Director, Sara Stauffer; Prairie Paws Director Vanessa Cowie; and finally, a third quarter report of all departments from City Manager Brian Silcott. The meeting will be at 4:00 this afternoon at City Hall and will be lived streamed on the City of Ottawa’s facebook page and youtube channel.
