Ottawa will elect three city commissioners in the election November 4th. One of the candidates vying for a position is newcomer Gary Harris. One question facing voters this year is the renewal of a one cent sales tax that has been in effect for over 10 years.
The City of Ottawa will hold a question and answer session for the public to learn more about the renewal of the once cent sales tax and how will it will help property tax relief, public safety, improvements on streets and power, as well as improvements at park and possible a new pool. The information session will be Wednesday, October 29th, from 5:00 to 7:00 at City Hall. Stop by ask questions of local officials.
