The three Osage County deputies and one Highway Patrol trooper that were shot Saturday, November 15th, while responding to a domestic disturbance call in Carbondale are recovering from their wounds. Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner says domestic disturbance calls are most concerning for his officers:
He adds that response to domestic violence calls involve multiple officers and each is treated as a potentially dangerous situation. Domestic violence is also the most under reported crime in the nation and that holds true here in Franklin County.
