The cost of a typical Thanksgiving feast is a little expensive this year. According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, the average cost of preparing Thanksgiving dinner last year was about $60. This year, believe it or not, the cost will be lower, at just over 55 bucks. Aldi’s is offering a meal kit for 10 people for $40, with a Butterball turkey and ingredients for several traditional sides and desserts. Walmart is also offering a $40 meal kit for 10 people, including a Butterball turkey and more than 20 essentials to make a complete holiday meal.
Turkey is not only a popular food, but K-State Research and Extension Nutrition Specialist, Sandy Procter, says it’s a healthy food,
Last year, the average American consumed 16 pound of turkey per person. No…not just at Thanksgiving, though you may have felt like it, but throughout the year.
