After over a year of planning, Sunflower Care Home is breaking ground in Ottawa. The newly designed, licensed residential healthcare facility will house 16 residents, each enjoying the comfort of a private bedroom and bathroom. With large communal living and dining areas, a spacious activities room, and an outdoor courtyard, the home is built to encourage both relaxation and engagement. As a bonus, a fully licensed on-site daycare will offer unique intergenerational interaction, benefiting both residents and the broader Ottawa community. Employees will have priority access to this daycare, simplifying childcare and reducing costs.
Killough construction is planning to start moving dirt in the next couple weeks. They will hold a groundbreaking ceremony November 20th, at 4:00 in the afternoon at the property on West 15th Street, across from Rock Creek of Ottawa.
