When the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s office asked for help in conducting a contraband search in several housing units and the adult detention center in their county, the Anderson County Sheriff’s office didn’t hesitate. They sent Deputy Jones, along with K-9 Officer, Sheriff to help out their colleagues. This search was conducted with the assistance of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, and numerous other law enforcement agencies, who supplied K-9 teams to conduct the search.
Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office report they are thankful for all the support they received during the operation, saying searches such as this ,help to keep all inmates and staff safe while being housed and working in their facility. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is happy to work together and collaborate with all other law enforcement agencies to not only help out, but to expand their knowledge of how other departments conduct certain procedures and know that by working together, they are more likely to keep the public safe and their officers safe.
