The Ottawa Blessing Box Foundation will hold it’s 7th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner soon. It will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church November 27th, Thanksgiving Day, from 11:00 to 1:00. Blessing Box Director, Julie Riggins, says everyone is welcome and, if you need a meal delivered, call the Collective Heart at 785-317-0497.
All the food and accessories are donated by community members. They are still in need of pies and desserts, canned corn and dinner rolls. If you can help, give them a call.
The community dinner was the inspiration of Riggins late husband, Joe, who wanted to be a light in the community. Again, Riggins emphasizes that this dinner is for everyone. The community dinner will be held Thanksgiving Day from 11:00 to 1:00.
