Arlie Blake Edward Stewart, 27, of Ottawa, KS passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. He was born November 7, 1998 in Ottawa, KS the son of Arlie Laverna Stewart and Lavonna (Manspeaker) Stewart. Arlie graduated from Ottawa High School with the Class of 2016.
Arlie has been battling Cerebral Palsy from birth. With lots of love and care from his mother Lavonna. Arlie, a.k.a. “Bubba” or “Dukie” lived a much longer life than predicted.
”He was Momma’s little hero and was the strongest person I knew. Momma accepted u for who u were. I loved u from the minute I set eyes on u. Told Jesus, I would take care of u the best I could. Now you’re with Jesus. Momma had you for 27 years, now you’re playing, running around and riding a bike. I bet u are talking and laughing up at storm. Please watch over us baby boy. Arlie was preceded in death by his father, Arlie L. Stewart and his grandpa, Doyle Manspeaker.
Surviving family includes his mother, Lavonna and grandmother, Betty Manspeaker both of Ottawa, KS; a brother, Blaine Stewart and wife, Sarah of Ottawa, KS; two sisters, Kaylind Zimmerman and husband, Andy of Ottawa, KS and Kelsea Zentz of Ottawa, KS; niece and nephew, Olivia and Laikyn Zimmerman of Ottawa, KS and nephew and niece, Weston and Karsen Stewart of Ottawa, KS; and three emotional support dogs, Julia, Jimmy and Tatorbug all of Ottawa, KS.
A Celebration of Arlie’s Life will be announced at a later date in 2026.
