A search warrant executed in rural Miami County has netted a substantial amount of marijuana and stolen property. Tuesday, November 18th, just before 1:00 in the afternoon, the Miami County Sheriff’s Office executed the warrant on Osawatomie Road. The search resulted from an Osawatomie Police Department investigation into stolen property that led officers to the rural Miami County residence. During the search of the home, numerous items of stolen property were recovered related to an Osawatomie Police department case. Additional stolen property belonging to victims in rural Miami County was also recovered. Deputies also seized over two pounds of marijuana.
Larry Poage Jr was arrested for possession of marijuana and transported to the Miami County Jail.
As the investigations continue, additional charges may be filed concerning the stolen property. Sheriff Kelly says he appreciates the Miami County EMS for providing an ambulance on standby during the execution of the search warrant, as well as the collaborative work among all agencies involved.
