Franklin County Commissioners purchased five new trucks for the public works department this year, and they are performing well, but, it seems the tires put on at the factory are not real high quality and that is going to be a bit expensive. Public Works Director, Jeff Welton talked about the issue with commissioners:
Welton says he will have a complete cost breakdown for the tires at next week’s meeting. He says good tires are a must have for the trucks as we head into the winter months.
