The emergency cold shelter in Ottawa will be open tomorrow, Sunday and Monday nights as the temperatures are expected to dip below 20 degrees. Franklin County Coalition to End Homelessness representative Brett Staneslow says there are dozens of people in the Ottawa area that are homeless and they expect quite a few at the shelter. The one thing the shelter really needs is volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer your time to help those in great need of protection from the cold, go to the Franklin County Coalition to End Homelessness facebook page, or contact Brett Staneslow directly on his facebook messenger. The shelter is at the First Baptist Church in the 400 block of Hickory, and will be open at 5:00 tomorrow afternoon.
