OTTAWA – To mark the Garmett’s 150th anniversary, which will be celebrated this weekend, the Anderson County Review ran a vintage mast head on this week’s paper to mark its own birthday as the oldest business in town. Publisher Dane Hicks will talk about the newspaper and small-town newspapering as part of Sunday morning’s Community Perspective at 8:04. Also for Sunday’s program, the winners of the Ottawa 911 essay contest will read their essays.
