If you pay your bills by phone, the City of Ottawa has something they would like you to try out. City of Ottawa utility customers who opt to pay their bill via phone now have a secure, automated line to make their utility payment using a credit card! When you call City Hall at 785-229-3600 you’ll select option 1 for utility payments. Follow the prompts to pay your bill or access your account information. You will need your account number to utilize this system. City officials say they are proud to offer another way to pay and the service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so if you are lying in bed late at night and remember your bill, just pickup the phone and use the new system anytime.
They are still accepting online payments, automatic withdraw and in person payments at City Hall. If you have any questions, give them a call and they would be happy to help. But remember, City Hall is closed tomorrow and Thursday in observance of the new year.
