Schmidt says Kansas has a storied history of Republican women leaders, and she is proud to carry the torch forward with the support of the hardworking Republican women who make up Maggie’s list. She is currently the Kansas Insurance Commissioner.
Founded in 2010, Maggie’s list is named after Margaret “Maggie” Chase Smith, the first woman elected to both the U. S. House and Senate. The organization has endorsed more than 100 conservative women candidates and is committed to advancing fiscal responsibility, limited government, and strong national security.
