GARDNER — Gardner Elementary School principal Pam Tate has been named the Kansas distinguished principal of the year. She was selected by the National Distinguished Principal Program offered by the Kansas Association of Elementary School Principals. She’ll also be recognized at the National Distinguished Principal’s conference in Washington next fall. Tate is in her seventh year as principal, previously serving four years as the assistant principal at Wheatridge Middle School. She was an elementary teacher for 17 years.
