OTTAWA — The United Way of Franklin County has kicked off the final leg of the 2012 campaign. United Way hopes to raise $142,000 for its 15 member agencies. The campaign has reached $112,000 but must raise an another $30,000 to meet its goal, United Way chair Meg Hooper Pearson said. As part of the final drive, United Way volunteers will talk to churches and community groups and United Way will mail solicitations to county residents, she said.
