GARDNER — Three women were taken to Olathe Medical Center for examination after their car rolled over on I-35 at Gardner Wednesday afternoon, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Charles Rappard, 69, Overbrook; was driving south on I-35 near Clare Road when he changed lanes in front of a car driven by Helen Burton, 49, Wichita. Burton tried to avoid Rappard’s car but swerved into the ditch and her car rolled over. Burton and her passengers, Jeannette Williams, 51, Mulvane; and 40-year-old Deanna Bishop, 40, Maineville, Ohio; were taken to Olathe Medical Center for what the highway patrol described as possible injuries. They were all wearing seat belts. Rappard and a passenger weren’t injured.
