OTTAWA- It was triple the heat, and double the flames for the Ottawa Fire Department yesterday. At about 4:50p.m., firefighters responded to a call at 1829 Ash, where a shed in the backyard saw total loss with an estimated value of $9000. Just 40 minutes later at 5:30, firefighters rushed to 727 North Cedar where an electrical issue on the back porch caused a fire, doing $60000 worth of damage. The occupants were home, identified and reported the fire, and escaped without injury.
