OTTAWA — An Arizona inmate charged with kidnapping and the sexual battery of a Williamsburg teenager 12 years ago will face a Franklin County jury once again Wednesday. A three-day trial for Ralph Corey is scheduled to begin in Franklin County District Court. A mistrial was declared earlier this year when members of the jury used a Smart Phone to do additional research on the case while they were deliberating. The former trucker was accused of kidnapping the girl from the Wal-Mart SuperCenter parking lot and trying to rape her at two different parking lots. Corey was charged after an Kansas Bureau of Investigation cold-case computer program connected his DNA with the crime.
