OVERLAND PARK – A Gardner motorcyclist was taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital Tuesday afternoon after he laid down his bike on I-35. The Kansas Highway Patrol said John Modic, 53, was riding his 2006 Harley south on I-35 near the I-435 interchange when southbound traffic had stopped and he couldn’t stop in time. The highway patrol said Modic was wearing a helmet.
