WICHITA — Wichita State University’s Lake Afton Public Observatory and the Kansas Astronomical Observers will host a telescope fair on Saturday, Nov. 17, 7:30-10 p.m. Members of the Kansas Astronomical Observers will set up different types of telescopes and discuss their advantages and disadvantages for anyone considering a telescope as a holiday gift. Visitors can see a variety of telescopes in the same place at the same time. The observatory will also present its regularly scheduled program “Universe of the 1920’s – Deep Sky Theme.” Admission to the observatory is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12, and children under 6 get in for free.
