LYNDON — Osage County commissioners have certified the final vote in a tight legislative race. The Associated Press reports the final vote in Osage County gave a few more votes to Republican challenger Ken Corbet, who has a razor-thin lead over Cemocratic state representative Ann Mah of Topeka. The Osage County gain gives Corbet a 44-vote lead among nearly 11,000 votes. Osage and Douglas counties are a small part of the 54th House District which is mostly in Topeka and Shawnee county. Mah agreed to Osage County certifying their part of the vote. However, she has filed a successful lawsuit challenging the results of the Shawnee County vote and seeking the names of the names of voters who cast provisional ballots to check on reports of voting irregularities regarding voter IDs. Kansas Sec. of State Kris Kobach has objected to releasing the names and filed his own lawsuit in federal court to block Mah from using them.
