GARNETT — ECKAN is cranking up the annual Spirit of Christmas campaign for Anderson County. Last year, more than 200 families applied for and received gifts and food from the Spirit of Christmas effort. ECKAN says that number includes about 500 people, half of them children. To support the effort, look for Angel Trees at Alco in Garnett and Garnett City Hall to adopt a child for Christmas. The Angel Trees will also be available in Kincaid, Colony, Westphalia and Greeley. You can adopt an entire family if you wish.
