FONTANA – The Miami and Johnson county sheriff’s offices are continuing to investigate an all-terrain vehicle accident that killed a 17-year-old Westwood teenager and injured another teen early Sunday morning in rural southern Miami County. The Miami County Sheriff’s office says the accident occurred a little before 3 a.m. in a field near Victory Road just south of 395th Street, south of Fontana. When deputies and emergency workers arrived, they that a Polaris ATV carrying four juveniles had rolled over in a field, killing the 17-year-old boy and injuring the driver of the ATV. The driver was flown to a Kansas City-area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
