OTTAWA – Now that you’ve survived the predicted Mayan apocalypse and after Christmas, comes the question of what to do with the Christmas tree. The city of Ottawa has designated the east asphalt parking lot at the Orlis Cox Baseball Complex as the drop-off site for live Christmas trees. Signs will be posted. Remove decorations from the trees and strip plastic before dropping them off. The public should take the trees as far northeast as possible in the lot. City crews will remove all trees beginning Jan. 14. Drop off your tree before that date.
