OTTAWA — After a brief hiatus because of Christmas, Winter Adventures resumes this morning. School’s Out Camp continues at Ottawa Recreation Commission’s Goppert Building. There’s a “make and take” craft activitiy at the Ottawa Library at 9. The movie “Ice Age: Continental Drift’ will begin at 10 at the Ottawa Church of the Nazarene. Some events new to Winter Adventures premieres this afternoon, said Winter Adventures co-organizer Rebecca McFarland. Kansas City Zoo staff will make two presentations at Ottawa Municipal Auditorium – “Operation Perfect Pet” will be at 1. “Food Chain Mystery” will be at 2. Also new is the Imagination Playground activity at 3 at the ORC’s Don Woodward Center, said ORC’s Corey Calhoun. with the school’s out camp at ottawa recreation commission’s goppert building at 9. Most events are free.
One activity that has an admission charge is skating at The Rink tonight from 6 to 9. Ages 10 and younger are 6 to 7 and all ages after 7. The cost is $1 or a canned good for Hope House.
