OTTAWA — Ottawa city and Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison Township firefighters were called to a report of a fire on a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train near the Montana Road crossing shortly before Friday noon. There was no fire and it appeared that the lead locomotive in the train experienced an engine failure and blew oil along the sides of a second locomotive and cars in rest of the train, Assistant Ottawa Fire Chief Richard Oglesby said. The crew was going to take the train into Kansas City using the second locomotive, he said.
