KANSAS CITY — A United Airlines flight to Denver had to turn around and make an emergency landing shortly after taking off from Kansas City International Airport Sunday after an engine panel fell off the aircraft. Passenger Howard Clark told ABC News they circled the airport for about 30 minutes to burn off fuel after the pilot told them what was going on. “The flight attendants were visibly a bit shaken,” Clark said. “The captain came on the speaker and said ‘As some of you probably know now, a piece of the engine has fallen off’.” No one was hurt and the plane made a safe landing.
