OTTAWA — A 34-year-old Baldwin City woman was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa late Friday night following a weather-related traffic accident. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Robert Layton, 35, Baldwin City; was driving north in the 3900 block of Old Highway 59 north of Ottawa when his SUV hit a slick spot in the road. He lost control and the SUV slid into the west ditch and overturned. His wife Kelly Layton received a possible head injury and she was taken to RMH. He wasn’t injured, nor were their two children, who were passengers.
