FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — For one Florida burglar, the long arm of the law had help from an eye in the sky. A Florida couple flying their single-engine Cessna home and went over their house and noticed a strange pickup in their driveway and spotted someone casing their house Sunday afternoon. Because of previous burglaries, pilot David Zehntner told CNN that he make a habit of going over his house whenever he and his wife fly. As they circled their house, Zehntner said they watched as the man hooked up their trailer to his pickup and drove away. They followed the pickup and then made a quick landing to call 911, Zehntner said. A sheriff’s department helicopter took up the aerial chase. Officers stopped the truck later and arrested a 59-year-old man who was charged with grand theft auto.
