CARBONDALE — The right lane of north-bound U.S. 75 will be closed beginning this morning for a week on the bridge over U.S. 56 in for an around-the-clock emergency bridge repair. The Kansas Department of Transportation said the west-bound U.S. 56 under the U.S. 75 bridge will be closed at various times this week. The repairs are expected to continue through Friday. KDOT said the bridge deck was damaged by an over-height load that struck the underside of the bridge. Drivers should expect some delays and should allow extra time for their commutes, KDOT said.
