POMONA — Two people were taken to Kansas City hospitals following a head-on crash on K-68 just east of Pomona this afternoon. Master Deputy Jerrod Fredricks said the two drivers were injured; one driver of one car was taken by helicopter and the other driver of the other car was taken by Franklin County ambulance to Kansas City hospitals. There were no passengers, he said. There was no immediate identification of the drivers. Fredricks said the Franklin County Advanced Crash Team would be investigating the crash much of the evening.
