ST. LOUIS — For the second consecutive year, the Monsanto Fund is seeking grant applications through its “America’s Garmers Grow Rural Education” program. Now until April 15, Kansas farmers can nominate a local public school district to compete for a merit-based math and science program grant of up to $25,000. Last year, the program awarded $2.3 million to school districts across the country. In this area, Wellsville received a $10,000 grant to build a greenhouse. Eligible farmers can nominate a school by visiting the Website www.growruraleducation.com, or by calling 1-877-267-3332.
