PAOLA — A church in Paola is adopting a fast-food method of worship on Ash Wednesday for its members who are in a hurry. The Paola United Methodist Church will offer drive-through “ashing” on Wednesday at the Tortoise gGallery of Fine Art & Espresso Bar. Those attending will be able to quickly receive a prayer, the sign of the cross in ashes on the forehead, and a free cup of coffee. Members of all churches are welcome to participate.
