OTTAWA- The senior economist of a conservative think tank will be the Norwood Jones Convocation speaker at Ottawa University on March 6 and 7. Barry Asmus of the National Center for Policy Analysis will make three presentations. His speeches will be “Flourishing in a Global, Exponential World” Wednesday night, March 6; and “Kingdom of Paradox” and “Spiritual Capital” on Thursday morning, March 7. Asmus has been named by USA Today as one of the five most requested speakers in the United States. He has testified regarding the US income tax system and was a featured speaker in a conference on privatizing Social Security programs. He has encouraged government leaders across the world to pass free-market, low-tax, property-rights and free-trade policies. He is the author of nine books, including “Crossroads: The Great American Experiment.”
