OTTAWA — The Franklin County Red Cross blood drive blasted through its goal Wednesday. The extra blood was needed, several collections were cancelled because of the winter storms, causing a shortage of blood, blood drive chair Carol Bulmer said. The goal was 55 units of blood but Bulmer said the drive collected 86 units.
