OTTAWA — Ottawa public works department crews will collect limbs from private yards at curbside next week. Crews will make one pass through the city, beginning next Monday, public works director Andy Haney said. That will allow time for property owners and residents to clean up their yards. However, limbs should be moved to the street as soon as possible, he said. To make collection with machinery easier, and to limit possible damage to yards, stack the limbs parallel and close to the street curb. Collections cannot be made in alleys because of the tight spaces for machinery.
