OTTAWA — Ottawa firefighters were called to a home in the 700 block of South Liberty Street late Sunday night. Because the residents felt ill, they asked the fire department to check for carbon monoxide. Fire Chief Jeff Carner said firefighters checked the home but didn’t find any evidence of the deadly gas.
